a 2003 Thomas school bus (was a washington state employees bus it's whole life prior to my purchase 06/2023) ,, title now says MOTOR HOME ,,, 40' bumper to bumper ,,, 72" floor to ceiling height with present floor still in it ,,, I made it livable and lived in it from 10/2023 to 05/2023 ,, now that I have a home where I can work on it I have started the total breakdown for full RV conversion ,,, I have taken out all my previous work ,,, ceiling panels and insulation are out(no rust anywhere in ceiling) ,, roof was resealed last summer topside ,,, it has a CUMMINS L6 8.3 and an ALLISON MD3060 with 246,000 miles ,,, I just drove it 500 miles from Lakewood,Wa to Chiloquin ,Or ,,, no problems and ran like a dream at 65MPH most of the way ,, made all the high passes with no problems ,,, I have had it in one of the best shops on the west coast - Pacific Power Shifts in Tacoma ,wa(02/2023) ,,, we changed out the fuel filters/air filter/ and a power cut out relay ,,, and replaced a very bad u-joint(just in time -did no other damage) ,,, no leaks in shocks or drivetrain ,,, it is road ready for any trip you want ,, tires/brakes/and lines all like new ,,, has the best heated rear view power mirrors as in photos ,, all white ,, no leaks ,,, no rust ,,, has a huge CARRIER AIR CONDTIONER under drivers side and will freeze you out ,,, has a am/fm stereo system ,,, ceiling lights and speaker wires labeled as well ,,, heavily tinted windows all around ,,, all outside lights work ,,, all dash works ,,, two fans for driver ,, front and back heaters ,,, the bus as it sits is ready for full conversion ,,, right now would be the best time to do a roof raise if wanted ,,, I did install a 30 amp shore power connect for wired 120v inside connects ,,, it has no storage underneath as it sits but plenty of room to put some in ,,, also room for a water tank/pump/heater which it does not have at present ,,, two new batteries ,, will need more batteries for conversion plus inverter ,,, your new batteries would fit on drivers side ahead of air conditioner under bus ,,, lots of room atop for solar panels ,,, this bus is ready for a creative new owner to finish off ,,, all questions answered promptly ,,, I just watched a video by Chuck Casaday that was a how to on releasing 6th gear with a new ecm for the trans on an MD 3060 ALLISSON ,, costs about $100 ,,, I would do it if I were keeping it ,,, excellent working bus
there will be no more price changes ,, it sells as is or I keep it ,, your call ,,, HAGD
